In particular, the fiber hemp has been an essential part of the Shinto religion since ancient times, and the culture of hemp has deeply influenced even to the spiritual culture of the Japanese people.
Hemp Innovation Ltd. aims to promote hemp production and hemp products in Japan in a safe and secure manner, and to establish a cultivation system that prevents hemp from being used for illegal purposes and a management system that scientifically and objectively confirms that products are THC-free.

In March 2011, following the Great East Japan Earthquake, she has engaged in reconstruction assistance activities in the affected areas, and in August 2012, she established Mediage, a non-profit organization in Miyagi Prefecture, where she continues to serve as its president.
After working as a parliamentary secretary for 6 years since July 2013, she has been lobbying for deregulation of cannabis production in Japan as a member of the General Association for the Promotion of ISEASA (Ise Hemp) since July 2019. She has been involved in organizing many study sessions for legislators.
In December 2022, she became a director of Hemp Innovation Ltd.

Shingo Matsumoto
Born in Ise City in 1975. Co-chairman of Ise hemp producer corporation "Ise hemp Co".In 2014, he founded the Ise Hemp Promotion Association, which obtained a license for hemp cultivation in 2018 and began cultivation and production of hemp traditional fiber. In response to the irrational regulations on cannabis cultivation in Japan, including Hitoshi Nitta and the Ise Hemp Promotion Association, he directly proposed amendments to the country (Cannabis Control Law) and prefecture (cultivation license). He was instrumental in the revision of the Marijuana Control Law. He believes Japanese hemp culture is not limited to shrine rituals, but has been originally Hemp (fiber type, industrial hemp). Believing that Japanese hemp tradition (Ise hemp) will lead to the revival of the Japanese hemp industry, he participated in the establishment of Hemp Innovation Co.

In 2000, Takashi obtained a hemp cultivator's license and delivered refined hemp fiber produced by traditional methods to the Tsukigase Nara Sarashi Preservation Society until 2003 In 2014, he registered the Japan Hemp Association as a non-profit organization, became its first president, and currently serves as its auditor.
In 2016, he organized the International Hemp Environmental Forum (IHEF), a network of main players in hemp and the environment from around the world, and held its kick-off event, the “1st International Hemp Environmental Forum”, at the Kyoto International Conference Center where Kyoto Protocol was was adopted by COP3 in 1997. At the end of 2022, the “2nd International Hemp Environmental Forum” was held in Bangkok, with 31 members from 11 countries on 5 continents.

He received the Joji Tagami Prize from the Japanese Association. for Comparative Constitutional Law in 1998.
He has served as a member of the "Expert Committee on Reducing the Burden of the Emperor's Official Duties" (March 22, 2009).
He also presented his opinion at the "Experts' Meeting on the Supplementary Resolution to the Special Bill on the Imperial Household Law Concerning the Emperor's Abdication, etc." (April 8, 2021).
As a director of the Ise Hemp Promotion Association, he has worked to support traditional Japanese hemp cultivators, to deregulate hemp cultivation, and to revise the Cannabis Control Law.
